Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball

The Worldwide Pop Superstar arrives at Kyocera

Global pop icon Lady Gaga brings her theatrical arena tour “The MAYHEM Ball” to Kyocera Dome Osaka on January 21–22, 2026, marking one of the biggest international concerts of Osaka’s winter season.

Lady Gaga’s The MAYHEM Ball arrives in Osaka on January 21 and 22, 2026, marking one of the city’s largest international concerts of the winter season. While Gaga has performed in Japan several times—including during the Chromatica Ball era—this is her most substantial Japan dome tour in years, bringing a full-scale theatrical production to Kyocera Dome Osaka.

Her relationship with Japan stretches back more than a decade. She first visited in 2009 during The Fame era, and through the 2010s and 2020s she cultivated one of her strongest overseas fanbases. Japan remains one of her most supportive international markets, with more than 5.4 million certified sales. Gaga’s fusion of avant-garde fashion, emotional candor, and expressive theatrical staging aligns closely with Japanese entertainment culture.

Her appeal spans generations, including a significant number of women drawn to her strength, individuality, and visual performance style—at times compared to the charisma of Takarazuka’s leading otokoyaku performers.

Early reviews from the tour’s U.S. and European legs describe The MAYHEM Ball as one of her most ambitious productions. A New York critic called it a “150-minute, five-act spectacle” and “the best thing I’ve seen all year,” praising its immersive staging, narrative progression, couture-driven costuming, and a setlist that moves between global hits and new material from her 2025 album Mayhem.

With Osaka serving as the first Japan stop of her 2026 dates, the Kyocera Dome shows carry special weight. For inbound visitors, the timing is perfect—right after New Year festivities and during Osaka’s vibrant winter illumination season. For residents, it marks the start of the city’s live-entertainment year, bringing world‑tour energy into Kansai’s largest arena.

Arena Spectacle: A full-scale theatrical production with immersive staging.

Global Star Power: One of Japan’s most popular international artists returns.

Winter Entertainment: A rare major arena concert during Osaka’s early‑year season.

Inbound Appeal: Easy to schedule into a January Osaka trip.

Kyocera Dome Energy: One of the city’s biggest venues hosting a global pop event.
